Keeping your trees trimmed is something you should always stay on top of. It's just healthier for the trees to be kept trimmed how they should be. However, if you find out that a good storm is on its way soon, then this is the time when you are really going to want to make sure you have your trees trimmed if they are due for it. Here are some of the problems that you may face should you decide not to have them trimmed before the storm hits:

Broken branches - The winds from the storm can break branches off the tree which would not be good for it. Also, the branches will need to be picked up and disposed of after the storm has passed. Clearing your property of the broken branches can take a lot of work depending on how many trees had broken branches, how large or full the branches were, and what you are going to need to go through in order to get rid of them. You won't be able to just pick them up and put them in your regular trash bags. This is a good example of why you should have the trees trimmed.

Damage and injuries from broken branches - Align with dealing with the problems broken branches cause for the trees and how much cleanup you'll have, the branches can cause other problems as well. In a storm, the wind can reach speeds capable of breaking the branches and hurling them at a high speed at anything that is in their path. This can cause damage to your roof, your fence, your windows, your car, or anything else. Along with the damages they can cause, you should be even more concerned about all of the different ways that they can injure someone when they come flying through the air.

Splintered or damaged trees - Another thing that can happen to your tree during a storm is that the branches can partially be broken, leaving them hanging on to the tree. When this happens, you are going to want to have someone come out to take a look at it and see how they can help the tree. Damage to the tree can end up causing the tree to become sick and possibly die. If the tree ends up dying, then you are will need to deal with having it removed and that will be much more work than trimming would have been.

About Me
Staying Safe During Tree Care

Tree care might seem simple, but it isn't always easy to trim large tree branches. I started thinking about trimming my own trees a few months ago, but after struggling repeatedly to take care of things on my own, I decided that it would probably be best to enlist the help of a professional. They came out, assessed the damage my trees currently had, and then helped me to identify ways to resolve the problem. I wanted to make a blog that talked all about the powerful benefits of professional tree trimming, so that other people understand how to make their homes and gardens more beautiful.
